The University of Southern Queensland has launched a new digital platform to maintain connections between past students and facilitate new opportunities for USQ supporters.

USQ Director (Alumni) Ken Gideon said the Alumni Community platform http://community.unisq.edu.au is a USQ-specific social media page, designed to meaningfully engage with students, alumni and donors.

“We invite all alumni to join the Alumni Community and we encourage them to join using their LinkedIn or Facebook credentials, as this pulls in some of their profiles from those platforms,” Mr Gideon said.

“This is designed to be our very own social media platform with the potential to provide countless opportunities for our alumni, including everything from finding old classmates to setting up mentoring possibilities – either as a mentor or mentee,” he said.

“This is a global platform where you can join one of more than 15 virtual alumni networks or start a new one if it doesn’t exist.”

Alumni Community will also host details on upcoming events and can be used to plan reunions.
