The Careers & Employability team at USQ would like to invite all alumni and graduates to continue their partnership with USQ. A partnership with your university could be just what you, your business or enterprise needs to raise your profile at USQ and recruit quality graduates. By establishing or deepening connections with USQ, you and your organisation will help to educate the future workforce, have access to fresh perspectives and skills for your workplace, increase productivity, enhance the leadership and mentoring skills of your staff, and enrich your work environment.

The USQ Careers & Employability team are always looking to connect with our graduates and alumni to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and provide support. We are currently seeking industry challenges and projects from businesses in our communities to be tackled by our students, under academic supervision, in the form of industry projects in the classroom or workplace. Your level of engagement after the initial presentation of the problem can vary, based on your availability and resources. This exercise can also assist you and your organisation in identifying, developing, and recruiting your future workforce.

In addition, USQ’s career mentoring program is a great way to share your knowledge and experience with USQ students. Accessible from anywhere in the world, our students are matched with a mentor who works in a similar field of study or with similar interests, and who helps students prepare for their transition from university to employment.

The Ignition Project, USQ’s home of innovation and entrepreneurship, is hosting a new monthly event series to promote entrepreneurial thinking within our communities. Once a month on a Thursday morning before work, join us for coffee, croissants and some casual networking with a speaker sharing their entrepreneurial experience across our campuses in Toowoomba, Ipswich and Springfield.

Tune in to USQ’s own radio station, Phoenix Radio, to hear the new Career Insights radio show every Tuesday at 1pm, or catch up with past episodes on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.  This is a new show where we talk all things Careers and Employability and help students to realise their career goals. Each week we’ll host a career conversation with experts, industry, and USQ alumni to provide students with insights into life after university. Please express your interest in working with via careers@unisq.edu.au. We are looking forward to connecting with you and discussing our future partnerships and endeavours.
